The objective of this photograph was to construct a directorial image that told a story. I positioned one model on a hill with dirt, money, and other props to convey the message that we live in a society shaped around dedicating entire lives to get by financially. The title “C.R.E.A.M.” is a direct nod to a popular song by Wu-Tang Clan and it stands for “Cash Rules Everything Around Me.”
Once a large batch of images were photographed, the best image was brought from Lightroom into Photoshop for the editing process. This image was photographed on a Canon EOS 2000, at an ISO of 400, an aperture of f/8, a focal length of 18mm, and a shutter speed of 1/2000.
The image was then edited in Photoshop and then printed on photo paper at the size 20” x 30”.
